Strange idea, I know.

I've been thinking: suppose you introduced Data from ST:TNG to the "I, Robot" version of Earth, say, shortly after the film takes place. How would Spooner, Calvin, Sonny, and the people of that Earth react to a humanoid artificial life-form who has his own legal standing as a person and not a machine and is used to being treated as a full equal by everybody, not as a household object/servant/etc. Oh, and how would they react to seeing an artificial life-form who looks the way Data does?

I'd write it myself, only I'm a) too busy, b) too poor to buy all of the ST:TNG seasons, and c) it would take me years to do a halfway decent job of it.

Anybody fancy giving it a shot? I'm not expecting anything, just throwing it out there to get it out of my head.

A while back I posted an essay regarding the canonical and EU crossovers with Buffy and Angel (and Fray, though most people seem to forget that last one). This is the sequel to that, detailing the crossovers that occured with the crossed media. Essentially, 2 steps away from Buffy.

The fact that I got over 150 different entities ranging from Law and Order: Special Victim's Unit to The Chronicles of Narnia.

Enjoy the Madness.

I doubt I will take it to the Tertiary stage, espeicially if it expands as much as it did this time!

I was eating lunch at a chinese restaurant when this plot bunny came to me. I'm not very familar with Heroes, plus I have way to many WiP I need to work on. But I think this would be a neat fic if someone would please write it.

I've cross posted it to HeroesSlash at a couple other relavant spots in the hopes of finding someone to take up the bunny.
Take Care,

I'm new to this community, so I hope you'll forgive me if this kind of thing isn't exactly allowed. I think it is but, as I said, I'm new and (thus) ignorant...

I have an idea for a fic I'd like to see written. Sadly, I lack the talent, so I thought I'd release the plotbunny here and hope some more talented writer would be bitten by it.

The idea is for a crossover/merge of 'House, MD' and 'The Sentinel'. It requires a pretty good knowledge of both TV shows.

Move the pilot episode of 'The Sentinel' forward about ten years, so that it occurs in 2006, not 1996. (Sometime during Season 2 of 'House, MD'.) So, shortly after a solitary, week-long stake-out, Detective Jim Ellison of the Cascade PD begins to experience debilitating sensory episodes and even occasional fugue states. He goes to see several doctors in Cascade, none of whom can help him. Eventually, though, one of them refers him to a diagnostic specialist - possibly the best diagnostician in the country - Dr. Gregory House at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey.

Meanwhile, Blair Sandburg, a graduate student at Princeton University, is beginning to despair of ever completing his anthropology PhD, and talks of its subject to one of his girlfriends, a nurse who works at PPTH...

What do you think? Any 'Sentinel'/'House' writers out there?

I often get odd ideas when I am falling asleep at night. This should come as no surprise to you creative types, because the weird ideas often show up when our minds are most relaxed, correct?

The latest crack!writing idea: )

Anyway, I'll make this simple. (Follow the fake cut to the poll at my LJ)

Comment please with any other thoughts you might have.

Over on my LJ, I've been releasing some of my Plot Bunnies to the wild, and I just realized that since quite a few of them are crossovers, I could issue them as challenges here. So I hereby challenge ye to complete one or any of the crossover bunnies given in the following LJ entries:

The Bunnies vary in size, some just being vague ideas, others having grown to the size of multiple scenes. But I would like to see these ideas completed, I've just given up on being able to do them myself.

Weird idea I had after some discussion of the "Xander's 'Evil' Twin" episode of Buffy, which might be applicable to other fandoms.

There's an idea called Twin Towns, which began in Europe after WW2, in which two cities of roughly the same size and similar interests (e.g. industrial towns, mining towns, etc.) are "twinned" with each other. Typically they are in different countries, and the general aim is to promote peace, education, etc. For example, Cambridge (UK) is twinned with Heidelberg in Germany and Szeged, Hungary. The web page below explains the origins of the idea. Usually twin towns exchange cultural stuff (museum exhibits, sponsor orchestra visits, school trips, etc.), offer opportunities for natives of the other town to visit for educational reasons, host members of the local government while they study common problems (traffic, crime, pollution, public transport, etc.), and so forth.

This idea has spread beyond Europe, and some cities in the USA etc. are also twinned. For example Passau, in Germany, is twinned with Hackensack, New Jersey.

All of which leads me to the idea that Sunnydale might be some innocent city's evil twin - or have an evil twin that is even worse in some way. And of course this could apply to other fictional towns such as Smallville, Seacouver (or is that a real place?), Metropolis, etc.

I'm sure that there are plenty of ways to use this idea in fanfic, especially in a crossover. I'd particularly like to see something based on a BtVS crossover, but I'd also be interested in seeing the idea used for other genres and crossovers.

http://www.fact-index.com/t/tw/twin_towns.html is a web site explaining the idea.

There are lots of other web sites mentioning twin towns and giving examples.
