I realized it was the first time I had ever allowed any human into my life in the 'real world'. I stared at my empty mirror and wondered just what the hell I thought I was doing. A human. A person. Here. I could kill her if I wanted to. Oh, so easily. But I didn’t want to. I liked her. She was… not like me. And was. She was intelligent. She was diplomatic. She thought about Popular Culture. I lived it. But I was a killer. I could be. I was a monster. A civilized monster. An ethical monster. But a monster none the less.
