We would like to welcome to the

sacred_20 challenge! We are one of many fanfiction challenges on LiveJournal - though we think we have a unique take on the concept. Our goal is to challenge writers, of both fan fiction and original fiction, to think "outside the box" and expand their imaginations. We offer three tables of twenty prompts apiece, each with a spiritual connotation, for a writer to build a story on (divine inspiration not guaranteed :) ).

Your stories themselves do not have to be spiritually themed at all (though of course they can be). The prompts were chosen for their spiritual ideas, but your fics do not have to about religion in ANY WAY WHATSOEVER. The words are just a starting place, and you can use them (or abuse them!) in any way you want.

All ratings are allowed, all fandoms can be claimed (except real-person fic), and there are no waiting lists or deadlines!

Some prompt word examples: illumination, communion, Mecca, transcendence, supplication, temptation, Zen.
