A friend of mine kindly NetFlixed the recently released "Greatest American Hero" DVD's. :) Talk about an early 80's flashback! Life was simpler then, when you could gleefully shoot at mobsters or commies in public places. ;) The show still has enough good moments to hold my attention through the too-long scenes, the characters' occasional improbable actions, and general campiness. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing.

That said, I'm jonesin' to write a short comedic GAH fic, probably a crossover. I'm fluent in these fandoms, which I think would cross well with GAH.

Jake 2.0
The Invisible Man
Buffy/Angel
The X-Files
Doctor Who (current series)
Stargate SG-1

Any ideas?

Hey, a proto-plot bunny just popped up in my mind's eye. The fic is set in the present day. Ralph, now in his late forties, has long since retired from the reluctant superhero biz. Something happens to lure him and Bill out of retirement to defend the good ol' U.S. of A.

Wasn't GAH set at roughly the same time as Principal Wood's mother was the active Slayer?

Are you going to acknowledge the pilot for the GAH spinoff, or not?

The spinoff pilot is included in the first season GAH set. IMO it really is that bad, so ignoring it is more than justified.
