According to the Red Dwarf novel I read, Dave's accent is Scouse. The only thing I could find looking that up was "lobscouse," but that's a freaking lobster.

See, I wasn't able to find anything on either him or Rimmer, so I went with the actors' real-life hometowns and hoped for the best.
