Summary: Drabble, While on a trip to DC Alan Shore has an interesting mishap. AU takes place after the SG-1 episode "The Ties that Bind."
"Metal detector malfunction?" Alan asked as he regained consciousness. He never imagined that going to DC to testify before the International Oversight Advisory could be harmful to his health.
"Yes," responded a Daniel Jackson, some type of Airforce researcher, who bore a rather striking resemblance to himself. Few years younger, few pounds thinner, but there certainly was a resemblance.
"So, if I get more than 100 feet away from," he paused as he looked over the attractive brunette, "Vala, I'm going to pass out and potentially die?"
"Basically yes," she responded, "it should wear off in a few weeks, she said gazing into his eyes."
"A few weeks? I could get used to that" he answered. "Do you like maple syrup?" He asked her as they walked out of the building.
