Finally, an alias that I can get my head around. (Any other Mini-Jack fics that have him using a different name than Jack never click for me, but for some reason, "Jake" fit.)

I can't claim credit for dreaming this one up. I've read Mini-Jack fic with him going by "Jack" and by other names and none of those worked for me either. Then someone used "Jake," instead of Jack, and I thought that was workable so I adopted it. The real fun part was coming up with a last name.

Thank you, I'm not the only one who thought that O'Neill should be on record as his "uncle" to explain the resemblance if they ever encountered one another in public.

Yes, well, I too thought that when he hits his mid-twenties and is the perfect spitting image of Brigadier General Jack O'Neill at that age, it might be noticeable. There needed to be an explanation.

If Mr. Wilson is who I think he is.. *hugs you* He is.

Jack might say something similar in meaning, but I'd expect with a bit more volume and more than one "Oh, for crying out loud!"

Well, one thing I try to avoid is too many "Oh, for crying out loud!" Jack doesn't say it in every other scene on the show, but in fic a lot of authors seem to think that's the only phrase he knows. But keep waiting with baited breath, that good old O'Neill snarkiness is going to really start to show soon.

I know that, too. I could just imagine Jack getting frustrated enough to repeat himself for once. :)

Even now, the similarity in mannerisms if you put the two of them in the same room for five minutes would be noticeable.
