Everyone at Hogwarts was running for cover when the massive thunderstorm seemed to appear out of nowhere, but it had been happening every day at three for two solid weeks so no one was surprised anymore.

I was the only one who was still standing outside in the down pour and incredibly pissed off that my library books were completely ruined.

(destroying books was a big pet peeve of mine)

“Must you do that every time you come to visit me, Thor? I cannot keep paying for my library books.”

I gazed down at those ancient and lovely books that were crumbling away with the pounding water, and aimed my withering glare at my boyfriend who was lighting up the sky.

(still decked out like a god, which made it harder to hide him)

“I’m sorry, my love, but it is the only way I can come to visit you without tipping off my father.”

Since the start of our relationship, which began the moment I used my wand to put an end to one of his thunderstorms (something that has never been done before), it’s been a game of hide and seek.

(I doubt even the wizards in my life would approve of me dating a god)

“Why do you have to keep hiding? It’s getting very frustrating, Thor.”

I was at the point where I wanted to scream just how much I loved him at the top of lungs, or go to damn Asgard and tell his father myself, but Thor wasn’t ready for that just yet.

(also it didn’t help us that if Loki found out he would try to ruin everything, yeah)

“My darling, Hermione, you know I cannot stand to see a frown upon your stunning face. How about I make it disappear?”

It was clear that I was going to lose this battle once again, since my weakness was his grinning face, one that filled me up with warmth and almost made me smile back.

(unlike what Loki did to me, made my frown deepen and fill me up with ice)

“And how would you accomplish that, oh mighty god?”

“With a kiss of course, it always does the trick.”

With that he kissed my lips, the thunderstorm surrounding us raged even more as the kiss went on, and afterward I gave him the smile he was longing for.

(however my lovely books were damaged beyond repair)

“It’s like magic, Thor, the kind I’ll never grow tired of.”
