“I’m not a big fan of nosy reporters, Miss. Lane.”

He pulled me into his arms for the millionth time, enjoying the time before the real world came crashing in, kissing the tip of my nose to prove a point.

(smiling that silly grin that was only for me)

“That would make me the only one you like, wouldn’t it, Mr. McGarrett?”

I couldn’t control myself when he started in on the tickling, I wanted to be a serious woman but I could giggle like a little girl at times, and telling to cut it out did nothing.

(only stopping when Danno came running in with another problem, blush on his cheeks)

“Of course, I wouldn’t be cuddling with someone I didn’t like, babe.”

In the back of my mind I was waiting for our phone to chirp like little birds and pull us in separate directions for the rest of the day, maybe the week.

“Good, then I’ll never catch you and Danno cuddling like the teddy-bears you are.”

Watching his face was all I needed to make my day a good one, only a meeting with Lex would bring it down now, and with my free hands I tickled him right back.

“Now, that is a big promise I can keep until the end of time.”
