“Running will do you no good, Miss Mars.”
This man before me, if you can call him that, was different then all the others who had tried to keep me locked away from the world.
(wanting to crush the spirit that they had helped build)
“Who the hell are you, and what do you want with me?”
No amount of fighting could help me escape his iron grip, his haunting eyes watching my every move in awe, and this mighty survivor was starting to worry.
(making it through years of villains did not prepare me for him)
“Veronica, you remind me of someone who past long ago and I can’t keep myself from you.”
He lowered his face to mine planting an unwanted kiss on my lips, it felt like he had not kissed a living soul for so damn long, catching my eyes in his own.
“I’ll be back, Veronica, I promise you that.”
As Lamb came rushing in to save the day like a fool he sped away right before both of us, not caring that two humans had seen what he was.
“You okay, Mars? That guy was the creepiest of your admirers.”
He put out his hand for me to take like in that moment all his actions in the past were wiped away because of this one great save.
(but he did not know that this girl had backbone and forgiveness was the last thing on her mind)
“I think you still top that list, Lamb, and not even a freaking ancient vampire can top you.”
