Rating: PG
The handle of the knife fit in my fingers like a glove, and right then and there I knew my normal life was no more.
(just seeing Sammy’s face in that moment was payment enough for my good deeds)
“Don’t be so damn surprised, Winchester, even high school girls can be badass every now and then.”
When he finally shuts his mouth, taking the knife that I’m holding so damn tightly in my hands, he replaces his look of surprise with a smile.
(one of those intoxicating ones I drink in for days on end)
“You saved my life, Peyton that is so much more then badass could ever cover.”
As that smile finally hit me, just one of those bad boys kept me rooted forever in the same place with him, I knew that this would not be the last time I would hear those words.
(after all hunters get to hear those same words day after day)
“I did every bit of it without even thinking, Sammy, and now the bravery’s gone and only terror is left.”
The icy chill of fear was covering every damn part of me, replacing the heat of bravery, but even now I was learning how to push that horrible feeling down.
(soon I would be just as ruthless as the brothers, maybe even more so)
“That about sums up my life, Peyton, which is why I won’t blame you if you run.”
He talked about me leaving every day that stayed by his side, hoping one day I would come to my senses, but I knew that I would not be leaving him any time soon.
“It’s a little too late for that, Winchester, this damn life has me now and it won’t ever let me go.”
