“Holy black-eyed demon-faced girlfriend and I thought you were the normal one. Why didn’t you tell me you were a demon, Ruby?”

Sadly finding out that the girl I’ve been seeing, kissing, and loving happens to be a monster is not something new for me.

(but at least this one didn’t turn into a giant bug)

“I thought if you knew you would leave me or try to kill, do you blame me?”

She brought up killing, and since I am a demon killer (or at least friend to one) I should be doing just that but I couldn’t bring myself to do that even if I wanted to.

“Not at all, plus you know Buffy would have killed you even if I didn’t want her to.”

Which is why I plan on telling her all about today’s miseries, and the fact that I saw those black eyes in the middle of a make out session, after Ruby leaves the country.

“You don’t want to kill me, Xander?”

Hearing her say it with the voice of the girl I had fallen in love with, when in reality I was in love with a puff of black smoke.

“Unfortunately, Ruby, you and all of your evilness have ended up wooing me; I couldn’t kill you even if I wanted to.”

This would be part of the story that I left out the moment the rest of them started asking about it, and I bet Anya would be laughing the whole damn time.

(‘I guess I catch myself real demon bait’)

“You sure know what a supernatural creature wants to hear.”

“I guess making demons fall in love with me could be a second job of mine.”

“And you would be number one at it, baby.”

“Look who’s talking, Miss Vampire fangirl! Must I bring up Edward Cullen and his dazzling?”

“Don’t even think about it, demon lover.”

“At least I wasn’t captivated by his sparkling skin and almost got killed because of it.”

(and as always I ended up getting socked in the face, and getting punched by a slayer is not fun)
