Searching for Firefly x-over

I am looking for a Firefly crossover (it may be crossed with Highlander but not sure) the Alliance is about to attack and someone takes the Firefly crew to the Generational Ships that they hid away. Evidently the ship have outrageous firepower (maybe to destroy astroids and thing that got in the way during the initial trip).

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I have searched everywhere and been unable to find it.

I know of one published by nonjon on ff.net, but the actual fight with the alliance doesn't come until about 30 chapters or so. It's nonetheless a good fic. No slash. a good plot. You should try it. This is the adress:

This isn't the one. Although, you are right it is a very good story.

The one I am looking for has a character that was around at the time of the exodus and is still around. Someone who hid the Generational Ships away and kept them in working order.

I though of another one written by phoenix catcher, this one's a slash it's called "blood in the stars" and you can find it on fanfiction.net . If I remember correctly, the serenity crew will defend a planet from the alliance using those ships. It's a vampire story. If it's not that one, I don't have any other idea. Sorry and good luck finding it!
