Greetings

Just found this community tonight and thought I'd submit an old ficlet to introduce myself. A few months ago, I wrote a couple of ditties involving characters from Angel & Red Dwarf,. particularly Fred, Wesley & Ace Rimmer. So, let me know what you think of the first installment, if you please.

Clipper:
Act I: Morning Meeting
Act II: Our Fathers' Sons
Act III: Never Alone

If it's cool, I'd like to post the second installment later this week. Yup, it's a trilogy.

Well done!

My initial reaction upon reading your description of "Clipper" was a wince. Angel and Red Dwarf? It'll never work. Thanks for proving me wrong! Everyone was in character, and the story is humorous and makes sense (in a willful-suspension-of-disbelief-for-a-crossover sort of way *grin*). Nice job!

I'm looking forward to reading the beautifully titled sequel -- "Clipper II: Electric Vindaloo." *ROTFL*

You're writing a TV series? Cool!

Well, yeah, but don't get too excited. There's less than a snowball's chance in hell of "Starborn" (http://nancy.bluesky.org/starborn/) ever getting produced. Contributing factors include not not being a member of the Writer's Guild, not being independantly wealthy, living in the eastern U.S., the need to acquire rights to characters from the "Starman" movie and TV series, etc. That said, "Starborn" is a virutal series/learning experience/writing exercise/labor of love. :)

By all means! I'll do the same for you.
