With his last bit of strength Watanuki opened his eyes and peered around. Through a blurry haze he could see Doumeki struggling to stand up while the purple lion creature cradled its stump of a hand. Now there were at least ten of those strange spirit creatures closing in on them. Watanuki laughed bitterly at the injustice of it all before finally succumbing to the darkness.
