Fandom: Hercules/Xena/ “Across Time” & Stargate: Atlantis (Up to 3x13); this story was written before the last half of season 3 aired, so consider it AU from "Sunday" on.
Pairing: Strife/OFC; otherwise gen, vaguely McSheppy
Rating: PG+13 for language and gore and being mean to people.
Author’s note: Craaaaaaaack. This is a sequel to “Across Time”; while not necessary, it may be best to read it first to have any clue at all what I’m rambling about. Also, there is some Rodney Whump. I started this story as a bit of a joke – how would the Fife family fit into Atlantis – and it went and got itself all serious and long on me.
Background: In 'Across Time' the anti-Mary-Sue Vega found herself thrown back in time and into Xena/Hercules. She refused to succumb to the clichés of the genre, but found that the conventions of the television series are strong. The curse of the Mary Sue, however, isn't all that easy to beat, and Vega decided to own her Mary-Suedom and use it instead. Vega became a Goddess, married Strife, God of Mischief, and in the process fixed all the discontinuities of the series. The last we saw Strife and Vega, they were newly married, Vega was so pregnant everyone was walking around with catcher's mitts, and the world had just found out that not only do all the old Gods exist, they are needed.
Summary: Rodney woke up with all his muscles aching, his head spinning, his stomach trying to crawl out of his mouth, and a complete inability to comprehend why the Pegasus galaxy hated him quite so much.
