Summary: For some, the war is over; others are still living battle to battle. New York is good place to lie low for a while, but no one can hide forever.
Story note: This fic is 85% complete, and will be about twenty-five parts when finished. It's set in the same universe as Abyssus Abyssum Invocat, a little over a year earlier, but you don't need to have read that to enjoy this. This is, let's say, season 9 or 10 in Buffy. In the SPN-verse, consider this a fast-forward (and AU) from "Folsom Prison Blues"; in the HP-verse, this veers off into AU after the end of Half-Blood Prince and takes place a little over a year after the end of that book.
Spoilers: There is mention of a magical concept introduced in Deathly Hallows, but it won't spoil you for anything in the book (if you pick up on it at all). No Deathly Hallows spoilers otherwise. Spoilers for everything else in the HP-verse and for general S1 and S2 of Supernatural up through "Folsom Prison Blues," as well as for a piece of background information revealed in "Sin City." In the Jossverse, general series spoilers for Buffy and Angel except for the comics; I haven't used that canon here.
