I See No Reason Why Gunpowder Treason,
Should Ever Be Forgot.

Reposting this because the 400th anniversary of the original event is coming up, seems a good time to remind everyone. Originally posted as a BtVS crossover challenge but should work with other genres.

On the fifth of November 1605 a group of men led by Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the British parliament and king, but were caught in the act. Ever since Fawkes has been burned in effigy on countless thousands of bonfires every November 5th, and the night is celebrated with bonfires and fireworks.

The challenge is to write a fic using this festival and the fandom(s) of your choice, and explain what was really going on that night, or what is going on under the cover of the festival today.
