Lunacy had brought us birds of a feather together, but it was blood that was finally driving us apart.
(his lips shining red forever locked in a grin)
No longer having those plush walls to keep us as one, instead I could break the puppet strings he had tied oh-so well, and instead of asking for forgiveness like he expected I found that lovely door.
(that spelled out freedom in everyway)
“Don’t worry, Jackie-boy, I’ll make sure to do just that.”
That laugh of his, one that would my ears bleed one day, haunted me as I found my way out.

While ignoring the urge to touch those pointed ears of his (don’t worry I would finally do it someday) I got ready to be rejected by both the villain and the hero of the story.
(two in one day, that’s a new record)
But rather then getting a slap in the face like I expected, my shocking ones had once tried to burn away that lovely mask of his, he took my hands in his as if he was accepting me in everyway.
(now would my white faced lover every do such a thing? I think not)
“Welcome, Elle Bishop, I was hoping you would join me one day.”
Rather then the grin of madness I was so used to, one that came out more then mine ever had the chance to, I found one of kindness.
(it would be later on that I met the famous Bruce Wayne smirk, and found that ours matched)
“Well, I guess it just took me a bit to finally see where I really belonged, Bruce, now before I fully join this little party I really need to touch those ears of yours.”
