The grip he had on my shoulders was cutting what little blood I had left off, Eric had to have a snack right before I run into yet another vampire (in my life it’s no surprise) who may be even worse than Eric.

(which is a title that Bill has tried to claim himself and failing miserably)

“Interesting, how is it possible that I can compel vampires but not one simple human girl.”

The hits I was getting from his mind were pushing the fear meter higher each second, as flashes of all of his many kills (each in a beautifully done style) were flashing before my eyes.

(all I could do was gulp because I might become another slash on his kill board)

“That, sir, is a question that has been asked a lot in my life and it’s a gift I thank the lord for.”

This little game of ours reminded me when Eric had tried the very same thing and all he got was a whole bunch of giggles and a punch in the shoulder.

(let’s just say that was the last time he tried any funny business with me)

“It is quite a gift, darling, one that many around me would die for, but it does create a problem for me. I was hoping to have a little fun with you and now it’s spoiled.”

His strong grip on me loosed a little, while he was busy talking and talking I was trying to buy time until Eric came for our dinner date, but it was clear he wasn’t about to let me go any time soon.

(this is last time I waited for that son of bitch on the porch in such a skimpy dress)

“I guess all you can do is bite me, something I’ve had quite enough of over the years, but just get it done with before Eric gets here or you’ll never get the chance.”

Right away I regretted my word choice, even though I wanted this whole show over and done with I still didn’t want every goddamn vampire to think I was up for biting from every damn one of them.

(besides after the last ‘let’s bite Sookie for the hell of it’ feast I was so sick of fangs)

“I highly doubt your lover can take me, sweetness, however, you did ask me so very nicely so I’ll bite you just the same.”

His fangs came shooting out, which didn’t look so special for the oldest vampire on earth, but before he could fang rape me like all vampires loved doing my knight in a trench coat finally showed for our date.

(later I would smack him for being two damn hours late)

“No biting, or any type of nipping, will not take place, stranger, because this human is mine.”

To prove the whole ‘mine’ thing that vamps loved so very much, Eric pushed Klaus away from me and placed his arms around my shoulders.

“I didn’t know you claimed them in this part of town, but I think this one needs a new owner.”
I knew a fight when I saw one and before they could see who’s was bigger I stepped in between the two teenage boys and got my sparkly hands ready to put an end to this.

“For Christ sake, no one owns me let alone either of you two morons.”

Before he could even figure out what the hell was happening the ‘so-called’ oldest vampire/werewolf (and a whole bunch of crazy) was nothing but a pile of dust.

(later a big mess of people would hug me and say thanks for killing the pain in their asses)
“Did you really have to turn him to ash, Sookie?”

I used my new fancy high-heels, those damn things I had shelled out a mess of cash for and just for this stupid dinner date (where only I would be doing the eating), and kicked what was left of our visitor.

“Well, yes, I just though what would Buffy do and I did it.”
